Educational Programs and Artist Residency

The Center for Celebratioin Arts and Michell Berne have designed and implemented a number of innovative, community based arts education projects within Los Angeles County.

PROGRAMS:

The Santa Monica Festival Arts Education Program in collaboration with the Santa Monica Division of Cultural Affairs, the Santa Monica Division of Environmental Education and the Santa Monica- Malibu Unified School District.

The SMARTS in the Schools Program in partnership with the California Arts Council, the Santa Monica- Malibu Unified School District, the Santa Monica Divisiion of Cultural Affairs and the Dana Foundation.

The Chesterfield Square Arts Education Program in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, Division of Public Art and L.A.’s Best After School Programs.

The Rhizorphorous Project in collaboration with Kieth Antar Mason and 10th grade students at Venice High School. this project supported by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs AIR grant 2001.

Asian American Pacific Performance Exchange (APPEX)

Massalia Theatre de Marrionnette, Marseille, France

The After School Arts Program (ASAP) model in partnership with L.A.’s Best After School Programs.
